Creating Space for Dialogue: A Commitment to Responsible Leadership in Romania and Moldova

But for us, this is not a business venture. It’s a commitment of social responsibility.

We are living in a world shaped by uncertainty, polarization, and rapid transformation. Current world leadership approach is focused on bilateralism, short-term wins, and "tit-for-tat" exchanges. In this context, meaningful dialogue is no longer optional, it’s essential.

The Economist Impact platform brings together global perspectives, rigorous analysis, and diverse voices to tackle the issues that truly matter: economic resilience, sustainability, governance, and the future of work and industries in the context of AI accelerated adoption.

Our role is to make sure these conversations happen here, in our region. The Romania Government Roundtable setting, where public leadership and private sector insight can meet, is a format which we strongly endorse.

We believe Romania and Moldova deserve a stronger voice in the global dialogue, and access to the kind of ideas, debates, and insights that can shape better decisions, in both the public and private sectors.

This partnership is, therefore, an act of social responsibility in order to provide a forum of dialogue for democracy and development in South East Europe.

It’s about creating space for honest and sparkling conversations.

It’s about connecting leaders who might not otherwise meet.

It’s about contributing, however we can, to a more informed, more resilient society.

Because progress doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens when the right people come together, ask better questions, and are willing to challenge the status quo.
